The New York Islanders signed 25-year-old forward Matias Maccelli and 30-year-old goalie Vitek Vanecek to one-year contracts on Wednesday with financial terms undisclosed. Maccelli recorded 39 points in 71 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, while Vanecek posted a 5-13-3 record for the Utah Mammoth.
