TheWire2h ago
Defenseman Darnell Nurse was traded from the Edmonton Oilers to the San Jose Sharks for Shakir Mukhamadullin and the rights to Zachary Sharp. Nurse, 31, has four seasons remaining on his eight-year, $74 million contract signed with Edmonton in 2021 and recorded 24 points in 82 regular-season games last season. The trade marks the end of Nurse's 12-year tenure with the Oilers, where he ranks fifth in defensemen points and second in games played.
