Red Wings add some toughness to the lineup in trade with Golden Knights

The Red Wings acquired right wing Keegan Kolesar from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a 2029 third-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick. General manager Steve Yzerman identified making the team tougher to play against as a priority at the end of the 2025-26 season. The Golden Knights free up salary while the Red Wings add depth to their fourth line.
