Detroit Red Wings add tough forward in Keegan Kolesar via trade

The Detroit Red Wings acquired forward Keegan Kolesar from the Vegas Golden Knights on July 1 in exchange for a 2027 seventh-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick. The 29-year-old, who is 6 feet 2 and 216 pounds, recorded 12 goals and 18 assists in 82 games last season and is entering the second year of a three-year contract with a $2.5 million annual average value. Kolesar has spent his entire NHL career with Vegas, appearing in 439 games since 2019-20.
