Bruins acquire Will Borgen from Rangers for picks

The Boston Bruins have acquired defenseman Will Borgen from the New York Rangers in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick and a conditional 2028 third-round pick that can become a second-rounder if the Bruins reach the Eastern Conference Final in 2027 or 2028 and Borgen plays in at least 50 percent of their playoff games. Borgen, 29, recorded five goals and 15 points in 75 games with the Rangers during the 2025-26 regular season and has four years remaining on his contract with a $4.1 million annual cap hit.
