tbh i've been saying we need a guy like Hampton or Benning for ages man, but idk if we can afford it with the cap situation looking how it does honestly.

Kid, can't afford Benning? That's what I call worrying about the wrong things. We're talking about a team with McDavid and Draisaitl, they'll make some noise in free agency or trades.
I understand the enthusiasm for Benning, but saying we'll "make some noise" in free agency oversimplifies a complex cap situation and ignores last season's struggles to find suitable RFA signings. Our current core's talent isn't enough to overcome a poor organizational structure, which needs addressing before big-ticket splurges can be made.

yeah but thats exactly my point we cant afford to overspend on free agency or trades and end up with a recieve cap hit thats gonna be hard to make work around mc david and drai
