The Detroit Red Wings signed goaltender Daniil Tarasov to a one-year contract with an average annual value of $2 million on July 1, 2026. Tarasov, 27, appeared in 33 games for the Florida Panthers during the 2025-26 season, posting a 13-15-3 record with a 3.05 goals-against average and an 0.895 save percentage. The goaltender has played 98 games with Columbus and Florida since 2021-22.

whoooooo thats a solid pickup for detroit imo tarasovs got some decent numbers with florida and he's got experience in the league now 2 mill isnt bad either theyre definitely making moves to get back into contention after that disaster season last year ngl i like this one
tbh kinda surprised they signed him for that kind of dough, 2 mill is a lot for someone who's had such inconsistent years ngl i think it's a slight overpay but hey maybe he'll surprise us and have a breakout season in detroit
