tbh i think we're expecting way too much from safonov he's a depth guy meant for some 4th line mins dont need goals just be physical and show up man.

safonov got a decent deal but physicality dont cut it when u need wins man, cant just show up and expect to win games ngl

tbh i think section7van's got a point man, safonovs role is to clog up the middle and give our top guys some breathing room, being "fine" is prolly good enough for that spot imo

@section7van makes a good point, just tryna see more outta safonov than "being fine" man, cant have him hold us back from even competing in the playoffs tbh

wanna see more outta him too man but idk we didnt exactly get anyone else who's gonna "wow" with upside this offseason imo

i'm low-key hyped for safonov too but let's be real eddy, preseason shine don't automatically translate to playoffs performance man, we've been disappointed like that before imo

ngl nick you're right, we've been burnt before by preseason hype and i'm more concerned about the lack of a real scoring threat in our top 6 honestly @section7van what are your thoughts on the Safonov signing?

tbh safonov's a depth guy and i think people are overhyping him idk if he's gonna magically turn into a top 6 scorer or something imo, we need someone like that bad man @CanucksEnjoyer
