Ivan Demidov signed an eight-year, $73 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens, beginning in the 2027-28 season with an average annual value of $9.125 million. The 20-year-old forward recorded 62 points in 82 regular-season games and nine points in 19 playoff games during his first full season with the team. Demidov was selected fifth overall by Montreal in the 2024 NHL Draft.
