Tyson Foerster signed an eight-year, $56.8 million contract with the Philadelphia Flyers beginning in 2027-28, with an average annual value of $7.1 million. The 24-year-old forward was leading the Flyers with 10 goals in 21 games before sustaining a right arm injury on December 1 and undergoing surgery on December 15. Upon his return on April 2, Foerster scored the playoff-clinching shootout goal against the Carolina Hurricanes on April 13.
