The Anaheim Ducks have signed right wing Judd Caulfield to a two-year, two-way contract through the 2027-28 season. The 25-year-old set single-season career highs with 17 goals and 21 assists in 71 games with the San Diego Gulls during the 2025-26 AHL season. Caulfield was originally drafted by Pittsburgh in 2019 and acquired by Anaheim in a March 2023 trade.

tbh not sure what to make of this signing seems like they're trying to add some depth to the roster but caulfield's ahh stats in the ahl arent exactly mind blowing 17 goals and 21 assists is decent but not blowin anyone away, two-way contract makes sense tho
I think @CanucksEnjoyer has a valid point about Caulfield's AHL stats not being eye-catching, but let's not forget he was part of the package acquired in that March trade and has shown some promise in the minors. The two-year deal is also a relatively short commitment for Anaheim, so this signing can't be considered a major gamble in terms of cap space; per CapFriendly, it appears to add just shy of $1 million in AAV to their roster.
