Forward Carter Mazur did not receive a qualifying offer from the Red Wings before Monday's deadline, making him an unrestricted free agent as of Wednesday at noon. The 24-year-old Jackson native has dealt with injuries throughout his professional career, including a dislocated elbow in 2025 that caused him to miss the remainder of the season after his debut. Defenseman Simon Edvinsson and goaltender Carter Gylander received qualifying offers from the Wings.
