The St. Louis Blues signed forward Jonatan Berggren to a one-year, $2 million contract after claiming him off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings on December 16, 2025. Berggren recorded six goals and 10 assists in 36 games with the Blues. The Red Wings originally drafted Berggren 33rd overall in the 2018 draft, and he appeared in 169 games across four seasons with Detroit before being waived.
