The Detroit Red Wings traded goaltender Sebastian Cossa to the Utah Mammoth in exchange for the 23rd pick in the draft, which Detroit used to select left wing J.P. Hurlbert. Cossa signed a two-year extension with Utah worth $2 million annually after appearing in just one NHL game for the Red Wings.
