yeah i feel u about healey but its not like we gave him away for nothing either lol got some decent assets out of it at least

u cant call him a decent asset tho lol he only played like 20 games for us and now hes gone, not much of a return if u ask me ngl

You have a point about moving on from underperforming players, reminds me of the old days when Tommy Williams didn't quite fit in either and ended up being a key player for Chicago. Perhaps it's better the Islanders are cutting their losses rather than holding onto someone who's not panning out.

yeah i think they made a smart decision movein on from healey, hes just not quite the fit like they thought now we gotta focus on addin some actual depth to that d

im not sure sam_t87 thats a pretty harsh way to put it, healey had his moments out there, just wish we coulda kept him and used him better tbh

same here man, healey had his moments but we gotta think about what's good for the team now, not what coulda been. idk if they can replace that with a dman tho.

im actually pretty worried about our forward depth now, we gotta get some scoring from somewhere and healey wasnt just a 4th round pick, he had actual NHL game experience @sam_t87 hit the nail on the head

@section301nyi Healey was more than just a 4th round pick, he played meaningful minutes in the NHL and had a good playoff run last year. I'm not sure how much of a priority signing someone to replace him should be right now, we've got bigger fish to fry with our D depth.

@SuburbanWings yeah i'm not saying he's irreplaceable or anything but like, we cant just keep giving away guys who brought something to the table last year man

i agree @section301nyi man healey brought something real to the table, cant just give away guys like that and expect it all to fall into place imo

I think we're all forgetting that Healey was picked up on a PTO last year and gave the Isles some much-needed depth scoring, so it's hard to expect him to be replaced immediately. I've been watching some game tape of Morozov from Detroit, might be someone worth considering for our forward lines in the near future @section301nyi

yeah i know healey had pto experience but like, that's almost worse than a throwaway pick man, we should've done more to keep him around imo
