Troy Stecher signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday after recording 14 points in 58 games this season following his November waiver claim from Edmonton. The 32-year-old defenseman had been eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

saw him live last season and he was a huge upgrade for edmonton tbh ngl toronto gets a solid dman in stecher and he should fit right in with their top 6 guys honestly his waiver claim was one of the smartest moves made by any team this year imo
tbh toronto gotta be thrilled to get a guy who played like that after coming over from edmonton ngl he's not gonna light it up but solid depth dman and i love how mcgarry is still going for it on d even with their cap situation looking pretty crunched this summer
