I'm not surprised by this move at all. Danielson showed some promise early on, but his play has been regressing significantly and it was only a matter of time before he hit the shelf in Grand Rapids again. Per [TSN], Yzerman's comments hinted that they're just giving him more time to develop, but it's clear he's not ready for the NHL yet.
