Sandis Vilmanis suffered an undisclosed injury during Florida Panthers' 4-3 loss to Washington Capitals and did not return. The injury occurred in the first period when Vilmanis was hit by Capitals forward Tom Wilson and went into the boards head-first. Vilmanis was examined by a trainer and sent to the locker room, with head coach Paul Maurice indicating he would be evaluated further before determining his availability.
