Dallas selected five players in the 2026 NHL Draft over the weekend but made no progress on resolving Jason Robertson's contract situation. Robertson, a 26-year-old restricted free agent winger, and the Stars remain significantly apart on contract terms, and GM Jim Nill's attempts to trade the player during the draft period were unsuccessful. Nill stated the team's preference is to re-sign Robertson while negotiations continue.
