Rinne's career trajectory is a good reminder that NHL teams often undervalue goaltending prospects late in the draft. Of his 258th overall selection, it's worth noting only two other goalies from his draft class (Marc-Andre Fleury and Jose Theodore) have reached the Hall of Fame status Rinne did.
