The Boston Bruins are interested in trading for Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin. James Hagens is identified as a key component in any potential trade deal. The Red Wings are unwilling to include Hagens in a Larkin trade.

What's your read, folks?
I'm surprised Hagens' inclusion is framed as a dealbreaker for Boston, given his relatively pedestrian underlying numbers over the past season. I'd love to see some context on what makes him so valuable in trade discussions, especially considering Detroit's likely asking price for Larkin.
