Caps Add Trio of Prospects on Day Two of Draft

The Washington Capitals concluded the 2026 NHL Draft in Buffalo by selecting a trio of prospects on day two, including forward Tyus Sparks, a center from Spokane of the WHL, with a pick the team moved up to acquire by trading their original fourth-round selection and San Jose's 2028 fifth-round pick to Columbus. The Caps selected four prospects total during the draft, beginning with Finnish center Oliver Suvanto as the 18th overall pick on Friday night.
