Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jacob Fowler was named NHL Rookie of the Month for October after going 7-1-0 with a .932 save percentage and two shutouts in eight starts. Fowler matched the NHL record for wins by a rookie goaltender in a single October. The achievement made him the third Canadiens rookie since 1985-86 to win at least seven games in a month.
