The Detroit Red Wings selected Victor Plante, brother of Red Wings prospect Max Plante, with the 47th overall pick on Day 2 of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. Plante, who plays for the US National Development Program, will attend University of Minnesota Duluth and recorded 18 points in 20 games last season. The Red Wings also selected goaltender Michal Orsulak in the third round, a Czech junior who posted a 28-4-4 record and .907 save percentage with the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders.
