The Washington Capitals and Utah Mammoth are included on Dylan Larkin's trade list but have had no recent discussions with Detroit. Ryan Leonard is described as strictly untouchable by Washington and not involved in any trade talks. Both teams remain inactive in the bidding war despite speculation linking them to Larkin.

What's your read, folks?
This trade saga is getting longer than a storied career of Gordie Howe's. Not unexpected to hear Washington has no recent discussions with Detroit, especially when you consider they were looking for another forward at the draft. Now, let's see how it all unfolds, reminds me of the Ted Lindsay-Red Wings era holdouts back in '57.

I'm not so sure about the "not unexpected" part from you, Otto. Given the public's perception of Larkin as a top-line center and his actual underlying numbers, it makes sense teams like Washington would have some level of interest in him, even if they're not actively discussing deals.
