Steve Yzerman on Red Wings' Dylan Larkin trade request
Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman confirmed that captain Dylan Larkin requested a trade shortly after the 2025-26 season ended, with Larkin's agent providing a short list of teams he would consider waiving his no-movement clause for. Yzerman stated that while Larkin has five years remaining on his contract, his job is to act in the best interest of the Red Wings and he made no guarantees the trade request would be fulfilled. Yzerman indicated he would be in a position to provide more specific answers about the situation in the future.
