The Detroit Red Wings selected center Adam Levac with the 108th pick in the fourth round of the NHL draft on Saturday in Buffalo. Levac, a 6-0, 176-pound right-shooter from Peterborough (OHL), had 16 goals and 44 points in 60 games last season and was ranked 97th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting. He received an eight-game suspension for a slew-footing incident on Jan. 30 and is described as both gritty and a good playmaker.
