Bob Probert was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round of the 1983 NHL Draft and made his debut during the 1985-86 season. He played nine seasons with the team and became a fan favorite alongside Joey Kocur as part of the Bruise Brothers duo. During the 1987-88 season, Probert recorded 29 goals, 33 assists, and 62 points in 74 games while accumulating 398 penalty minutes.

What's your read, folks?

Those were the days when players had character and could drop the gloves without worrying about what the coach would say. Probert was one of 'em, that's for sure. Reminds me of when I first saw Joey Kocur take a puck to the face and still finish his shift, those guys wouldn't last a shift in '97.
