Red Wings add to deep pool of goalie prospects in third round
The Detroit Red Wings selected goaltender Michal Orsulak from Prince Albert (WHL) with the 79th pick in the third round, adding to their pool of goalie prospects. Orsulak, listed at 6-4 and 224 pounds, led the WHL in goals-against average with a 28-4-4 record and won two silver medals with Czechia at international competitions. Orsulak joins fellow goalie prospects Michal Postava, Trey Augustine, Carter Gylander, Rudy Guimond and Michal Pradel in Detroit's system, following the team's trade of Sebastian Cossa to Utah on Friday.
