Red Wings Continue Family Affair, Select Victor Plante 47th Overall to Reunite Plante Brothers in Detroit's System
The Detroit Red Wings selected Victor Plante with the 47th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the same slot used to select his brother Max in 2024, reuniting both brothers in the organization's prospect pipeline. Victor, an NTDP forward, recorded 21 goals and 27 assists in 57 games with the U.S. National U18 Team and eight goals and 10 assists in 20 USHL games, and is committed to the University of Minnesota Duluth as an incoming freshman. Both brothers are set to play college hockey together at UMD next season, where their oldest brother Zam also played with Max this past year.
