The Washington Capitals have granted former first-round pick Ivan Miroshnichenko permission to seek a trade. The team has added Alex Tuch, Jordan Kyrou, and Boone Jenner this summer, creating a surplus of effective forwards. Miroshnichenko is now eligible to explore other opportunities within the NHL.
Miroshnichenko's floor is around 30-40 points as a middle-six winger, but he has real upside in my opinion - think of him like a Russian version of Sam Reinhart. Would love to see what other teams make of his situation, @TransactionWire laid out the Capitals' new roster well, though.
