Red Wings' Original Production Line Helped Build a Hockey Dynasty
TheWire2h ago
The Original Production Line of Sid Abel, Ted Lindsay, and Gordie Howe combined scoring ability, physical play, and mutual understanding to help the Detroit Red Wings dominate the NHL in the late 1940s and early 1950s. During the 1949-50 season, Lindsay led the league with 78 points, Abel finished second with 69 points, and Howe placed third with 68 points. The trio brought together different playing styles and strengths that made them a formidable unit against opposing defenses.
