Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki was sidelined for 2-4 weeks due to an upper-body injury sustained when he got his left hand in the path of a shot. Suzuki had played 546 consecutive games, just 14 short of Doug Jarvis's franchise record of 560 consecutive games. The injury occurred during a game against the San Jose Sharks that ended in overtime.
