Landon DuPont, a 17-year-old defenseman projected as the top pick in the 2027 NHL Draft, is playing his freshman season for the University of Michigan in the NCAA. The Michigan native had 73 points (18 goals, 55 assists) in 63 games with Everett in 2025-26 and led Team Canada to a gold medal at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. DuPont will write a monthly draft diary for NHL.com throughout his draft season.
