The San Jose Sharks selected left wing Ivar Stenberg at No. 2, defenseman Keaton Verhoeff at No. 9, and Ryan Lin at No. 21 in the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft. Both Stenberg and Verhoeff expressed enthusiasm about potentially playing alongside center Macklin Celebrini, with Stenberg calling Celebrini "one of the best in the world" and Verhoeff describing him as "a special player."
