Bo Horvat was traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the New York Islanders for forwards Anthony Beauvillier and Aatu Raty, plus a conditional first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The Islanders acquired Horvat in hopes of improving their chances to qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, while Vancouver will retain 25 percent of his salary under his six-year, $33 million contract. The trade was completed ahead of the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline on March 3.
