The Detroit Red Wings' first-round pick was traded to St. Louis on March 6 for defenseman Justin Faulk, then moved from St. Louis to Anaheim on Friday along with the 29th overall pick in exchange for Mason McTavish. The Ducks used the pick to select Saginaw Spirit forward Nikita Klepov at 15th overall, who led the OHL in scoring with 97 points as a rookie and has committed to play for Michigan State University.
