The Detroit Red Wings traded goaltender Sebastian Cossa to the Utah Mammoth in exchange for the No. 23 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, which Detroit used to select JP Hurlbert. Cossa, a 6-foot-6 goaltender selected 15th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft, appeared in just one NHL game for Detroit and will lose his waiver-exempt status next season.
