Guerin named NHL General Manager of Year for work with Wild

Bill Guerin of the Minnesota Wild was named the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award winner after acquiring Quinn Hughes in a blockbuster trade and signing Mika Kaprizov to a long-term contract. Guerin was surprised with the award by his family at a Lake Minnetonka restaurant during a pre-draft dinner with the Wild's hockey operations staff and owner Craig Leopold. Guerin acknowledged in his remarks that such achievements require support from many people and family.
