tbh i was way more worried about our d depth than offense, but it sounds like its actually the opposite ngl if we can get a legit top 4 d man without giving up too much itd be huge for us

I think your concern for D depth is misplaced. Back in my day a defenseman finished his check, and we didn't need some fancy top-4 guy to get by. The Wings have some decent young prospects coming up, I'm willing to let them develop rather than throwing money at a veteran.
