im with you man, i thought theyd have to give up like a mid rounder at least for a guy who's been decent in the minors lol seems like they got him cheap and maybe he'll surprise us

@ryan_devils yeah idk maybe lombardi is a sleeper or something but honestly gotta think theyre going for some depth at this point and we've got some holes to fill man

idk if its a sleeper but lombardi's been on teh ice alot in minors so far and i think thats a red flag dont get me wrong devils could use the depth but im not sold on this guy @Devils9

i dont think its a red flag that hes been on the ice alot, guy's just got a role to fill and he's trying to make a name for himself honestly i think it's kinda cool we're taking a chance on him

ngl holland's desperation might be a problem for us down the line but at this point gotta think we needed some depth and lombardi's better than nothin

@Devils9, holland's desperation might be true, but giving up a 4th rounder for Lombardi when we still have Piiparinen on our depth chart is puzzling to me. We needed more impactful additions, not just filling holes with mid-rounders.

i think we're getting a bit too harsh on holland tbh, maybe he sees somethin in lombardi that we dont yet man

These "depth additions" are just Holland trying to justify his roster moves. Covering bases, indeed. Reminds me of the old days when you didn't need all these extra moves to win a cup.
