good on them for being honest about cap hell
Red Wings Preparing for Biggest Rebuild of Ken Holland Era
I know some are gonna say this is a bad look but I think it's great they're being honest with us about what went down last season, LGRW! If they can get some consistency outta the young guys and bring in some actual depth at forward, watch out NHL.
yeah cap hell is real but im still trying to figger out why they traded cossa though, didnt he just win a calder cup?

I think trading Cossa was a bit of a head-scratcher, not sure it's all about cap hell just yet. Back in my day we wouldn't have made that trade so soon after the Calder Cup.
Cossa's trade still has me puzzled, we gave up a champ in goal! what did we get back for him again? 🤔

I had a problem understanding the reasoning behind trading Cossa too, @MotorCityMolly. Now that I see they shipped him off to Utah for a couple of prospects and a draft pick, it looks like they were trying to get some assets back in the deal rather than keeping him around. Still don't think it's a clear-cut decision, but at least we know what they're after now.
