RED WINGS GOING BACK TO OLD SCHOOL

Mark Leach? I don't think so kid. That's a player from the '70s with the old Wings. Must be someone else you're thinking of.

I think you're misreading, @GordieHoweElbows - Mark Leach is indeed a recent prospect pickup by the Wings, he's been trending well on some scouting reports I've seen. Maybe you're thinking of the Hall of Famer from the '70s instead?

I think I see where this might be going, but Mark Leach is indeed a player from the 70s, not a prospect pickup. According to reports from NHL.com, the Wings are actually looking at bringing in a different former defenseman for a potential role as a development coach.
