Only one NHL team can meet the Red Wings' price for Dylan Larkin, according to an insider who identified the Montreal Canadiens as that team. Larkin has not included Montreal on his list of acceptable destinations, and his no-trade clause requires his approval for any trade. The Canadiens plan a significant move before the March 1 deadline, having previously offered multiple players and picks for Kirill Marchenko.
Interesting tidbit from @TransactionWire. Reminds me of the 1952 trade that sent Terry Sawchuk to Boston - Montreal was involved in those negotiations too. I suppose history can repeat itself, but let's see if Larkin ends up in La Belle Province this time around.
