The Buffalo Sabres acquired 22-year-old defenseman Olen Zellweger from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Anton Wahlberg and a second-round draft pick (45th overall). Zellweger played 76 games for Anaheim last season with 22 points and will become a restricted free agent on July 1.

just saw the zellweger deal and imo its a steal for buffalo tbh they get a 22 yr old dman who played 76 games last season with points, that's some valuable depth for them. losin wahlberg isnt that big of a loss, dont know much about him but 2nd rd pick is still somethin. dont really see how this hurts the ducks at all

tbh i think buffalo gets it right here, zellweger played 76 games last season and put up points, they get a legit d-man without giving up too much, wahlberg was a waste anyway
sabres fans are gonna love this one... zellweger played 76 games last season and got points, but honestly how many guys can say that? decent depth addition for them now they need to figure out how to keep him in buffalo.
tbh i dont think its a steal at all... wahlberg is a solid 3c and that 2nd rounder couldve been used for something better than a 22 yr old dman with decent minutes last season, zellweger's gotta step up his game to make this deal worth it imo
