He delivered a powerful hit against defenseman Radoslav Suchy that damaged protective glass behind the goal. Ovechkin will play his final NHL home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I remember when kids were kids and they could lay a hit like that without worrying about glass shattering everywhere. What a different game Ovechkin showed up to play in '05, but I still got a kick out of reading about it again. @TheWire's gotta love seeing those old highlights.
