Aleksander Barkov was placed on long-term injured reserve by the Florida Panthers due to a lower-body injury sustained in a game against the San Jose Sharks. The 31-year-old captain will miss at least 10 games and 24 days. Barkov had returned for just his second game of the season after missing all of 2025-26 due to knee surgery.
