Simon Edvinsson remains without a contract and has returned to Sweden. The Red Wings are set to begin the 2026-27 season without him. Negotiations have stalled between the restricted free agent and the team.

@TheWire, pretty surprised the Wings couldn't get something done with Edvinsson before he headed back to Sweden, especially considering his upside and floor as a prospect. Not thrilled about seeing him leave without a contract in place.
