The Detroit Red Wings are the least valuable of the NHL's Original Six franchises according to Sportico's valuation, currently ranked 13th overall. The team has not made the playoffs in ten years and has fallen three spots in value over the past year. Despite their historic significance and 100th anniversary celebration, the franchise has gained only about $300 million in value during the past year.

I got some skin in this game, being a Wings fan and all. We can't just laugh it off when we're consistently near the bottom of the league in terms of value. When's the last time you saw us make a legitimate playoff push?
