Simon Edvinsson has returned to Sweden to train with Froelunda while awaiting a new contract with the Detroit Red Wings. The team released a statement indicating he is not practicing with the organization as of September 28. Edvinsson had previously played for Froelunda in the SHL during the 2021-22 season and made his North American debut with the Wings in March 2023.
